Urban lights

Petitcodiac River
Yersterday morning, I had to stop by the Petitcodiac River to take a few shots, just a few minutes before the fog moved out. A neighborhood of Dieppe appears on the other side.

Weekend Images
I took a few pictures this weekend among other things of these young squirrels. It seems to have been quite a prolific summer in our yard. Like in every fall, I will probably have a problem when I start feeding the birds for the winter season.
And graphically, I like these 2 next images. Last Friday, my car went for servicing so I did some walking in town, a good opportunity to exercise my few photographic skills. These pigeons seemed to own the track for the short duration of their presence, and they really reminded me of their ancestorial relatives the dinosaurs.

L’Université de Moncton
I made a short stop at the Université de Moncton this morning, great morning to do a bit of birdwatching at the pond of the Parc Écologique du Millénaire, a nice quiet natural corner right in the middle of the city surrounded by a very impressive fauna and flora. It was also a nice morning for lawnmowing on the campus as we ca see. The shrub was unharmed.
A reflexion for today - the end of the road for this sorry porcupine.

Election time in New Brunswick
Being a graphic designer, the reason behind this blog was to do something else than work. I find it challenging to do this considering that we are at the end of a pretty quiet provincial election campaign. Very little orange - a lot of blue and red along our roads. I took this picture this morning (on the way to work again...) without thinking much of it. Now that I look closer at it, I am count 14 pictographs, symbols & logos - counting the Honda and GMC brands (which I think car manufacturers should pay us for displaying all over). Indeed, we are offering free advertising on top of what we pay for our vehicles...
Another day has gone by. At the end of this dirt road -> Home sweet home. Objects in Mirrors are indeed closer than they appear. I drive a hovercraft.

My First Post
Wow, ok - We’ll see how this goes. Wondering if I will have the discipline to regularly post images in this space. I just like to take pictures and if you want to see them, well, this is the place. I was going to call this site something with "Daily" in it. I quickly changed my mind...
Have fun. Oh yea, what will these images be about? Mostly images I take here and there about my surroundings. A work in progress I guess.
I took this picture this morning on the way to work. The Moncton skyline surrounded by the morning fog. I probably had the zoom of my new camera at the maximum, a nice 12x optical!
