Water crystals in the night sky create a halo around the moon, wet weather might be on the way pretty soon. Last night the moon was in Leo, the constellation in the background. The 4 brightest stars in this picture are Denebola, Zozca, Coxa and Regulus. The exposure of this shot was about 20 seconds, enough for the earth to rotate a bit, causing the stars on the image to be blurry. The second image of the moon shows very clearly the Crater Copernicus. It has a width of 93 km and about 3 km deep.

La présence de crystaux d’eau explique la formation d’un halo autour de la lune. Peut-être un signe de température pluvieuse pour les prochains jours. Hier soir, la lune était dans la constellation du Lion, la formation d’étoile en arrière plan. Les 4 étoiles principales de cette photo sont nommées Denebola, Zozca, Coxa et Regulus. Et comme l’exposition pour prendre cette photo était de 20 secondes, la rotation de la terre explique le fait que les étoiles semblent avoir bougés durant la prise de photo. La 2e photo de la lune, prise aussi hier soir montre bien le cratère Copernic au centre de la photo, d’une largeur de 93 km et d’une profondeur d’environ 3 km.
