There’s something I like about trains. Maybe the folklore around them, maybe some type of romantic idea of travel and adventure, maybe the graffitis that adorns them. Most often, I’m rather happy when I can be the first one at a crossing like this afternoon when I took this photo. Doing a quick search online will reveal the same train in Illinois, or in Wisconsin. Strangely enough, as I type this, I can hear one passing along Humphrey Brook valley just behind our house in Moncton. We’ve been in this house for over a month now, and I haven’t grown tired of them yet.

Les trains m’attirent. C’est peut-être le folklore qui les entoure, peut-être une idée romantique de voyage et d'aventure, peut-être les graffitis qui les ornent. La plupart du temps, je me considère chanceux d’être le premier en ligne à un chemin de fer comme cet après-midi lors de cette photo. Une recherche rapide sue le web montre le même train dans l'Illinois, dans le Wisconsin, etc. Curieusement, au même moment où j’écris ces mots, je peux entendre un de ces monstres de fer et d’acier longer le ruisseau Humphrey, dans la vallée juste derrière notre maison, à Moncton. Nous sommes dans cette maison depuis plus d’un mois maintenant, et je ne me suis pas encore lassé des entendre.

Codiac Transpo

A rather unique Sunday family activity this afternoon. We took advantage of Codiac Transpo’s free services that has been offered all month. We did 3 different routes, the kids had never been on a city bus before. The bus took us many places I barely knew existed around the city.

Une activité familiale plutôt unique ce dimanche après-midi. Nous avons profité des services gratuits de Codiac Transpo, offerts gratuitement durant tout le mois de janvier. Nous avons parcourus 3 routes différentes, les enfants n'avaient jamais été sur un autobus de la ville avant. On nous a fait découvrir plusieurs endroits où nous n’étions jamais allé avant.
