The weather finally cooperated earlier tonight. I was able to capture Comet McNaught on film - well on disk... However, the clouds got thicker and I missed its last moments above the horizon. There’s always tomorrow. Comets are actually big chunks of ice orbiting around the sun. As they approach the sun, they lose some of their particles to the Sun’s energy, leaving behind one or more tails in the opposite direction from the Sun.
