Upsalquitch, Route 180

I’m just back from a Weekend Trip (1800 km) to Quebec City. Here is one of the first pictures I took early Saturday morning on Route 180, Between Bathurst and St-Quentin, New Brunswick. This view is from the Upsalquitch Valley, a name that’s rooted deep in my childhood memories as my father used to be working in the forestry industry, a native word that would pop up here and there in grown-up conversations.
J’arrive à peine d’un voyage de fin de semaine à la ville de Québec (1800 km). Voici une des premières photos prise tôt samedi matin, sur la route 180, entre Bathurst et St-Quentin (communément appellée la route des ressources). La photo est prise dans la vallée de la rivière Upsalquitch, un nom de provenance amérindienne que j’ai souvent entendu dans les conversations d’adultes quand j’étais enfant - mon père ayant oeuvré toute sa vie dans l’industrie forestière.
